While it may seem impossible to believe now, many people have become infatuated with asbestos. There are many crazy things people have done with asbestos, but not all of them are related to the deadly element. Many of these situations may seem downright silly to the person doing the inhaling or otherwise consuming the substance. Some of these situations include things like placing anything made out of asbestos into one’s car or home or wearing clothes that contain the substance regularly. Crazy things people have done with Asbestos have even been exposed to jobs in which they did not need to be trained for and yet they were exposed anyway.

I will start by telling you just one of many crazy things people have done with Asbestos. A few years back in Ohio a man put his house on fire. The house contained Asbestos. His family claimed he was sleeping on the floor when the house exploded. Amazingly, none of his clothes burned. Apparently, he was not storing anything that would burn, so no one claimed he did anything wrong.

One crazy thing people did with Asbestos was to blow their bodies off of buildings. Several construction workers were killed when they were attempting to do this. This is a highly illegal act that deserves some serious jail time for those who attempt it. Luckily, there were no such jobs available when this happened, so the victims were left with just physical injuries.

Other crazy things people have done with Asbestos include cutting their fingers open with a piece of the substance. I remember this personally. I used to work in the dental office attached to a dental clinic. We used to take X-rays of teeth while the patients were being x-rayed. Naturally, we did not allow the dental patients to handle Asbestos materials without proper gloves and protection.

In fact, there was one guy who cut his finger open on his job site, and when the coworker saw what had happened, he got into the conversation and told everyone about it. There was no stopping him. No matter how much abuse people gave them, they would never stop making fun of their injuries. As long as they wore the gloves, they were going to be in the spotlight.

Of course, there were many other crazy things people did with Asbestos. In fact, there are many places around the country where the substance is still being used. Many people work around it every day. Homes are built right over Asbestos filled mine shafts. This is done so that water and other things can run freely over the home. The water is brought in by pipe.

Other crazy activities include playing around with Asbestos. A game of Frisbee is a good one to start with because Asbestos is easily broken by a metal blade. Many crazy ideas have come from playing around with the substance. Some people have created silly dolls out of Asbestos fiber and some even made full-size clothing out of the stuff. It sounds silly, but it’s all right because none of it was really dangerous.

Of course, there are other crazy things people have done with Asbestos, and there are many more things that people haven’t even heard of. However, most of the things that were heard of in the news were done by irresponsible companies, and they got away with it. Now, it’s up to us to do the same thing.

Be careful of things like nail polish that has Asbestos in it. There are many different things that Asbestos can touch, but nothing is particularly dangerous yet. Keep your wits about you, and look for the truth.
